Premia Foods set an absolute record in ice cream sales in July

AS Premia Foods sold ice cream in the total amount of 2,813 tons which is an all-time record amount. During the same period last year the company sold ice cream in the total amount of 1,619 tons. OOO Hladokombinat No 1, the subsidiary company of Premia Foods located in St. Petersburg sold ice cream in July this year in the total amount of 960 tons which is an all-time record amount as well.

 
 “Premia has done well in July and the combination of hot weather and new products that have become favourites of people has made setting these records possible,” as commented Kuldar Leis, the Chairman of the Board of the company, the record-breaking ice cream sales of the food concern. “Both our production units and sales team have managed the increased demand well and they all do their best to ensure that ice creams would be available at all places where people want to buy them. The sales volumes have increased noticeably. For example, on July 13th we sold over 500,000 ice creams in one day in Lithuania, and a sales record was broken in Estonia on the same day, during which the daily sales exceeded 2 million kroons,” he added.
 
The most popular ice creams of Premia Foods in Estonia are the assortment of ice creams made with 15% cream, including the extremely rich dairy ice cream in a waffle cone, which has become number one in the market, also Väike Tom continues to be a success as well as retro ice creams Regatt and Koolijäätis, known for their quality. In Latvia and Lithuania the Premia and Klasika product lines are the most popular; there is a clear tendency towards dairy ice creams in those countries as well. In St. Petersburg the Sahharnaja trubochka, Baltiiskoje and the Etalon product group continue to be successful.
“I feel really good that once again all markets where Premia offers its products have started to value high quality and creamy taste of an ice cream, which thus promotes product development and enables us to continue introducing new and exciting products on the market during the upcoming seasons as well,” Kuldar Leis said.
